‘DID’ fame Kunwar Amar is going to enter Star Plus' popular show 'Anupama'

Kunwar Amar, who was a part of DID Season 3, is now going to make his explosive entry in the popular TV show Anupama, let's know about his character...

First of all, many congratulations to you on this show, would you like to tell us how you got this show?

If I tell you the truth, this show came to me quite suddenly. This is God's blessing. I was relaxing at home, doing absolutely nothing, and suddenly I got a call from the production asking if they were shooting something from tomorrow and whether I was available or not. Then I auditioned in his office the same night. Everything happened so quickly that there was no time to think or understand anything. Then I came to know that all this was happening for the show Anupama. Whatever good has happened?

As you know the Anupama show is very famous, so how difficult was your character for you?

The biggest challenge for me was when they told me what this character was. I felt the same resemblance that this character is also a dancer, and Anupama ji is also a dancer. And dance has a very deep input in the show. Apart from that, if you watch the show, you will know that the language used by these characters is very easily understood by the people of Bombay. Because of the kind of slang words that the people of Bombay use, this character also talks in the same way. It was challenging for me because I don't talk like this at all, and the character talks in very slang language. And perhaps this became the fun factor for me. When I was shooting on the first day, my entry, solo dance, and the scene with Dimpy were shot that day. The next day I had a scene with Rupali Ganguly, she is a great actor, and she welcomed me very lovingly. He also guided me very well during the shoot. That day became very memorable for me, and a very good bond was created between us. The entire team never made me feel that I was new to this show, so the challenge became very smooth.

Will there be any further romance between you and Dimple?

What will happen to me and Dimpy depends on the creative team. Anupama was very broken after Samar left, she saw her son in me. My character is forming a very good bond with Anupama, now how far and how it goes will be known later. We have shot a lot of dance sequences, and you will get to see a lot of dance in the show in the future too. Anupama ma'am and I also keep discussing among ourselves as to which song to sing next. And a lovely bickering relationship has developed with Dimpy.

There is a lot of difference between when you were in DID Season 3 and today, you have done two big shows DID and Anupama, how do you see this change?

As an actor, it is always a good thing for you that you are getting the kind of work you want to do. A lot of changes have taken place since that time. A lot has changed in me too, because at the time of DID, I was very young, charged, and energetic. There has been a gap of many years in between, many people used to ask what he was doing. I think this is an aspect of our industry that is very difficult to explain to anyone for many years you appear at the top and then suddenly you disappear and then one day you appear at the top. I am very happy that my comeback has happened with a very big show, Anupama is being watched all over the world, I am getting messages from Dubai and the US, and I am feeling good seeing all this.

During all these years, did you ever think of making a comeback through some reality show, like Bigg Boss?

I am very scared of Bigg Boss. I have had meetings with his team several times. And Amy, every time I go and tell her that I don't think I will be able to do this, because I will not be able to have fights. Because I am very self-conscious. My interest never went towards Bigg Boss, but sometimes there are times when you are going through a lot of things. So during that time, you try a lot of things, I also did it. But whenever I asked myself where I would be happy, there was always only one answer to this question and that was on camera. If I am on stage, performing, or in front of the camera, I am happy. I think God was with me because at least I could survive in Bombay. Well, I never thought of going to such reality shows.

It is learned that now you are also doing OTT, so how are you going to balance both the show and OTT?

There is a big show coming up, which I can't talk about yet because it is not official yet. This is happening by the grace of God. I am very excited, the body is very big, and the star-cast of the show is very big. There are many big names from Bollywood in that show, it is very exciting for me.

I am very happy that the blessings that God has given me in the form of Anupama during Navratri, keep it intact. I hope and pray that it continues like this.
