Did you know Li’l Varun Dhawan was in the studio with Anu Malik when he was recording ‘Oonchi Hai Building’ for Salman?

Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is the longest-running singing reality show format that has been ruling the hearts of audiences for almost 3 decades. After having introduced the world to talented powerhouses like Shreya Ghoshal, Shekhar Ravijani, Kunal Ganjawala, Sugandha Mishra, Kamal Khan, Raja Hasan, and Vaishali Mhade who have carved a name for themselves in the industry, this season viewers will get to watch a fresh panel of judges including Shankar Mahadevan, Anu Malik and Neeti Mohan with Bharti Singh as the host. In fact, after receiving an overwhelming response to the previous eight seasons, the channel recently launched the 9th season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs.

While the top 13 contestants have been mesmerizing one and all with their fantastic performances, this weekend, viewers will have a gala time as Bollywood star Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon grace the special episode ‘Suron Ka Darbaar’ as guests. During the shoot, judge Anu Malik made an interesting revelation. In fact, he got nostalgic about the good old recording days, and shared how Varun Dhawan was part of the recording of the original ‘Oonchi Hai Building’ song back in the 90s.

Anu Malik said “I was sitting with David Dhawan in the studio to record the song 'Oonchi Hai Building’. Then, I noticed there is a kid(Varun) who is watching us through the curtains. And then David told Varun to come later because I was recording the song. At that time, I didn’t know that years later you(Varun) will become the hero of Judwaa 2 and I will only sing the same song for you. It is surreal.”

To which Varun replied, “Kamaal ki baat hai that I knew it.”

While the judges and the special guests are stunned by these performances during the special episode of ‘Suron Ka Darbaar’, wait till you watch all the extravagant performances by these contestants.
