While filming for Scotland, due for release on ShemarooMe’s Box Office on Friday August 7, Daya Shankar Pandey found himself in an emotional turmoil. The plot of the movie revolves around true life incidents with rape as the central theme. One such scene which will not only strike a chord with the audiences but also emotionally distrubed the cast while filming, are the scenes of rape. Daya Pandey divulged that he was truly distrubed while shooting for the scene where his on screen daughter confides in him of the multiple times she has been raped.

So much was the impact of the scene on him that he gave in to his emotions and broke down while performing the scene. This pure burst of emotion is captured by Manish Vatsalya the director of the film and portrayed effectively with utmost care. Scotland is a story of a wronged father deciding to get back at four criminals who rape his daughter; the film is inspired from real incidents that keep popping up in newspapers. It holds a mirror in front of society by confronting us with the heartbreaking reality of violent crimes against women in the country.
