Dilip Agrawal being an avid cricketer himself had formed a celebrity team called “Boxy Boyz” more than a decade back. This team has since been growing and thus the creation of actors very own cricket tournament. “I saw lot of actors participating in local tournaments representing different teams, I felt we could all come together, play good serious cricket and have fun. I conceptualized “Actor’s Cricket Bash.” The league is unique, Actors playing professional cricket in a fresh new format of F15, 15 overs a side with few twists, which will ensure excitement and entertainment for the players as well as the viewers. Talking about the name of the league, Dilip Says, there were a lot of options and suggestions, but the best way to connect everybody is to Say It like it is, thus the name says it all. I used “Bash” instead of League because this tournament is also about Celebration and Fun. The Inaugural Season of the league will have 4 teams from the Hindi television fraternity, and from season II onwards other regional television teams will join and make this tournament bigger every year. We have formed 4 teams: Mumbai Mustangs – Captain Jay Bhanushali; Chennai Hawks – Captain Karan Wahi; Delhi Stallions – Salil Ankola; Bengaluru Invincibles – Captain Sharad Kelkar. Dilip Agrawal has been playing cricket for more than 40 years, he has played professionally and major tournaments in Mumbai. He has travelled across the globe to play cricket and has been a true ambassador of this religion called Cricket.
