DILJIT DOSANJH'S 'PANT MEIN GUN' HURTS RELIGIOUS SENTIMENTS

Just after another controversy, when Priya Prakash Varrier's viral song Manikaya Malaraya Poovi song from the movie Oru Adaar Love landed into legal trouble, when a Muslim community group filed a complaint, saying that the lyrics of the song insult Prophet Muhammad, when translated to English and now once again an another movie's song, is in controversy just because of something same.

Welcome to New York's song 'Pant mein Gun' is facing some issues when a 59-year-old Mumbai resident has filed a complaint before a court against the makers of 'Welcome to New York' film, claiming it as "vulgar" and that it hurt the sentiments of a particular community. The song, showing the lead actor, Diljit dressed as a Sikh and mouthing obscene lyrics and dancing in an obscene manner, hurts the religious sentiments of Sikhs.

According to a source "The petitioner has alleged that the lyrics go against the principles of Sikhism and the content of the song is offensive and unfit for public viewing. He suggests Diljit Dosanjh should have respected the teachings of the community before singing the song. Diljit has never faced a situation like this one before."

According to the reports, the Sikh petitioner Jasjeet Singh has been offended by the song because Sikhs keep their Katar (daggers) in their pant and not guns with them.
