DILO KA BADSHAH DIL SE DETA BHI HAI ... by Ali Peter John

He had come to Bombay with just one thousand and five hundred rupees and with no money to buy a return ticket home in New Delhi - Ali Peter John

He had already lived a life of abject poverty when he sometimes had to have just one meal a day and had to have more of water in his daal than daal or rice because his mother couldn't afford to cook a proper meal for the family .

He had just two pairs of clothes and was made fun of by his classmates in school for the old and torn clothes he wore to school .

He had never seen the inside of a proper hotel and there were days when he went to bed without having his dinner like all the other members of his family....

In Bombay , he had to go through a very grim struggle and moved from one little house to another till his destiny changed drastically and he was the builder and owner of "Mannat " and had houses in Dubai and London which were competition for the palaces of the richest sheikhs and sultans .

And thirty years after he entered the world of entertainment , he is the second richest entertainer in the world .

And what is the best thing about Shah Rukh is that even as he is the billionaire and entertainer the world envies or looks up to with pride , he is like Mother Teresa when it comes to giving and like Mother Teresa , he believes in giving till it hurts ....

It is almost inhuman to keep track of the humanitarian and benevolent acts of Shah Rukh , but one look at the various trusts and foundations he heads can give anyone an idea of how much he gives and donates for the welfare of the sick , the suffering and those generally in need of help .

There are many trusts that are run and inspired by the goodness of Shah Rukh , but the Meer Foundation named after his father was the one that came into the limelight in a big way during the first wave of the Coronavirus when the foundation guided by SRK provided massive help to thousands of victims through quarantine in his own office and then the provision of PPF kits and other medical help to fight the battle against the pandemic .

He was to donate to the Prime Minister's Care Fund, but it is said that he wished to send his help directly and many believe that this decision on his part could have led to all the hassles and humiliations for him and for his son, Aryan Khan in recent weeks .

Salman is also in charge of the Salman Khans Welfare Trust which provides monetary help to victims of all kinds of accidents in which all help is provided to the victims till they reach a stage of recovery .

Shahrukh Khan

And I can vouch for this help because I have received this help to an extent that it has not only saved my left foot , but also my life .

There are many other ways in which Shah Rukh and his team work to lessen or end the suffering of people without any distinction of caste , creed or community , in fact the surgical ward at the Nanavati Hospital in Vile Parle in Mumbai comes under the Shah Rukh Khan Trust and is named after Mother Teresa and is headed by Dr Ali Irani who was the one time orthopaedic adviser of the Indian cricket team .

A man who goes out of his way to help his unfortunate brothers and sisters cannot be punished by God or man for long .

Isn't that what was proved during the crisis Shah Rukh faced during the last one and half months ?
