According to the police statement, Vikram Brar, brother of Canadian gangster Goldie Brar, had discussed this plan with Siddhesh on Instagram and Signal app.

He added 'The matter of bragging has come to the fore in his confession with some of the accused. The motive behind bragging is to gain publicity and to collect a large ransom amount. He further revealed that this is a common occurrence in Punjab and neighboring regions.
