Disney India Ropes In Youth Icons Badshah & Armaan Malik To Light Up The Hindi Version Of Aladdin

Disney India is all set to take local audiences on a magical journey to a whole new world this summer. Disney’s Aladdin, a thrilling and vibrant live-action adaptation of the most-loved animated classic flies into theatres in India on 24^th May 2019. The animated version that had taken the world by storm in 1992 has established a legendary status amongst fans, especially with its blockbuster music.Now, with the re-imagination of the timeless songs, melodious music, classic romance and spellbinding magic, Disney’s Aladdin promises to be a perfect entertainer again. To add more magic in the live-action adaptation for the regional audiences, Disney India has brought on board two of the biggest musical youth icons from the Indian Film Industry: Badshah and Armaan Malik for the Hindi version.Badshah with his inimitable style will create an exciting promotional song and music video for the live-action adaptation. "Aladdin evokes a lot of fond memories for me when I was growing up, and this is a fantastic opportunity for me, to not only re-live my childhood but also be part of such a big ticket global adventure! The music video will release soon and I hope my fans embrace and enjoy this new offering from me," says Badshah about his first association with Disney.

The melodious voice behind many Bollywood chart-busters and a heartthrob, Armaan Malik has been roped in to voice Aladdin for the Hindi version. “Aladdin has been one of my favorite films since childhood. Being a musician my fascination with the movie began with its songs , 'A Whole New World' being my favourite among all of them. I am really honoured to be given the opportunity to be the Voice of Aladdin. Along with voicing for the movie I’m even singing the beautiful songs from the soundtrack as well, and I just can’t wait for all my fans to see my work in the Hindi version!" says Armaan Malik.“At Disney we love to tell great stories that have a universal appeal. Aladdin is one such timeless tale and we all have grown up watching the classic. A thrilling and vibrant live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated classic, Aladdin is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future. Directed by Guy Ritchie, the film stars Will Smith as the larger-than-life Genie, Mena Massoud as the charming scoundrel Aladdin, Naomi Scott (“Power Rangers”) as Jasmine, the beautiful, self-determined princess and Marwan Kenzari as Jafar, the powerful sorcerer. Disney’s Aladdin releases on 24th May 2019 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
