DIVYA DUTTA SHOOTS IN KASHMIR FOR GUL MAKAI - BIOPIC ON MALALA YOUSUFZAI

Gul Makai is a biopic inspired by the herioc life story of Malala Yousufzai. A girl who is not just a Pakistani Activist for female education, but also the youngest Nobel Prize laureate. She is known for human rights advocacy which has now grown into an International movement. The movie is directed by Amjad Khan and is produced by Anand Kumar. Its release date is not yet known.

The movie stars Reem Sheikh as Malala Yousufzai. The young actor was also seen in Amitabh Bachchan's Wazir. She was also seen in the TV drama Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Divya Dutta as her Mother. Late Om Puri, which was lastly seen with Salman Khan in the movie Tubelight and Ragini Khanna, who is majorly known for her role as Suhana Kishore Bajpai-Kashyap in Sasural Genda Phool.

Recently, Divya Dutta was spotted shooting for the movie in Kashmir. Locals who gather to watch the shoot have been inviting the actor to their homes to savour Kashmiri cuisine. They have also been accompanying the actor to tourist sites.

The film's poster has been already shared by young actor Reem Sheikh, who will play the Pakistani activist and will unveil the journey of Malala in Swat Valley who stood up against Terrorism. It is in  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Northwest Pakistan, where the local Taliban had at times banned girls from attending schools.

The name of the movie' Gul Makai' itself describes the theme of the film which means 'Heroine of famous folk tale.'
