Bollywood Political based films

Know about those films that are inspired by politics.

These days, the activities for assembly elections are intense in 5 states of the country (Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram). Discussion about corporation elections has been going on for a long time in the Bollywood city of Mumbai. In such a situation, we remember some Hindi films, in which the filmmakers have tried to show the truth of the politicians. Can't Indian voters learn some lessons by watching these films? Come, let's take a look at those films –

There are some films that have made politics a part of their story, these are - 'Aandhi', 'Main Azad Hoon', 'Nayak', 'Sarkar' ('Sarkar Raj 2' and 'Sarkar Raj 3'), 'Rajneeti', 'Yuva', 'Satta', 'Gulaal' etc. In 1975, even the print of the film 'Kissa Kursi Ka', made during the Emergency, was burnt on the instructions of the then government. The film 'Aandhi' starring Sanjeev Kumar was stopped from being released for a long time because the role of the film's heroine Suchitra Sen was played was influenced by the Late Indira Gandhi. The film 'Hu Tu Tu' directed by Gulzar and the film 'The New Delhi Times' directed by Ramesh Sharma were films of political subversion.

One such film was made with Amitabh and Shabana, 'Main Azad Hoon'. Amitabh Bachchan has done many such films whose stories had politics as their subject matter. Among these, 'Inquilab', 'Main Azad Hoon', and 'Sarkar' are the main ones. He portrayed Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray in the 'Sarkar' series of films. 'Aaj Ka MLA Ramavatar' starring Rajesh Khanna also reached the theaters after a lot of censor hurdles. The filth of politics was depicted in these films. 'Nayak' was an open clash between Anil Kapoor and Amrishpuri. Prakash Jha has already made a film named 'Raajneeti'.

Some politically based biopic films have also been made, which include 'Mahatma Gandhi', 'Sardar' (Sardar Patel), 'PM Modi', 'Tashkent File' (on Shastri ji), 'Indu Sarkar' (on Manmohan Singh and Indira Gandhi) life and 'Madam Chief Minister' (on Mayawati's life).

All these are films which depict the political environment of the country. While watching a movie, the audience realizes right and wrong. But, when there is a stir of elections, the same audience goes away from reality and gets lured by the politicians and, forgetting their voting rights, allows the wrong person to rule over them for 5 years. Gives the right to drive. I wish the audience could understand their franchise from screen films only!
