“ Don’t mind being in ‘Bigg Boss’ once more,” quips  B’day Boy Anup Jalota whose upcoming bio-flick ‘Vo Meri Student Hai’ has Jasleen Matharu as his co-star

Except when there was some tragic  event  in his personal life, ‘bhajan samrat’  and versatile singer Anup Jalota is known for his lavish star-studded annual musical birthday parties  ( ‘Jashn-e-Jalota’) on his janamdin  (July 29th)  . This time the philanthropic Jalota has cancelled all his shaandar birthday celebration plans.  Explains the iconic composer-singer-actor-film-producer Anup-jee, “Instead , I propose to contribute towards relief for  various free-lance media-photographers and some others in financial distress due to  the corona crisis . Besides I will also  observe austerity today.  

Needless to add, that I  may miss out on the physical presence  of a large number of top-luminaries from the music-industry and Bollywood on the occasion of my birthday. But they will connect with me thru video-calls and thru whatsapp for conveying their best wishes. In a grim and gloomy situation caused by the dreaded Corona  pandemic , it would be inappropriate for me to celebrate.

Then again there are the social-distancing norms where your celeb-guests need to be masked, sanitized and can’t even come close to you ,” groused  Jalota who was chilling out with his close buddy-colleague ghazal-badshah  Talat Aziz at the latter’s residence.  “After being quarantined and in lockdown situation for past three months. it was so delightful when jigri dost Talat Aziz invited me over to his residence for verbal jamming  on the eve of my birthday. We had a great time reconnecting,” says the jovial Jalota who had  hit the newsy headlines when he was a housemate in Bigg Boss along with his much-younger  mate-partner pop-singer-actress vivacious hot-babe Jasleen Matharu who actually was and is his ‘vocal-music-student’. 

When quizzed whether he was game for entering Bigg Boss all over again, he responds with “ Why not ? Don’t mind being in ‘Bigg Boss’ once more. It was a unique learning experience as well. And then isn’t this corona home-quarantine quite similar to that situation ,” quips ‘love-guru’ Anup who has shot for this  nearly-complete realistic entertainer feature film ‘Vo Meri Student Hai’.  No prizes for guessing that Jasleen Matharu plays herself.!
