The last two years have been very bad for the world. There was darkness even during the day when the sun shone bright and gave the world the feeling that all was well with it, but the fact was that all was not well for the world and it was two long years of sheer unhappiness, unemployment, hunger, misery , sorrow and suffering all over the world and Bollywood was no exception - ALI PETER JOHN

Infact Bollywood suffered like it had not suffered during its entire history at no other time had Bollywood seen some of the biggest stars sitting at home without work at no other time were studios, theatres , labs and other institutions associated with Cinema locked down and see so many thousands of people looking in despair and total disappointment at the sky of how to show them some way to see hope for their acche din to come....

It was only sometime in October that the first raise of hope could be seen for the industry when some single screen theatres and multiplexes opened and shooting for some films started , so what if they were shot in an uneasy atmosphere of fear of a tiny virus playing havoc with them and the industry is still limping back to normalcy , but now with the omicron joining the coronavirus to attack human beings , it seems that the good days are still very far off, but what' wrong in seeing some rays of hope which will maybe wipe out all the looming darkness and bring in rays of hope that can lead the industry to a future which can only lead to a much better future...

Even as the year of despair 2021 comes to an end, the astrologer within me who is much more strong than any astrologer in the world slowly but steadily whispers into my ears and gives me an inde of what 2022 will look like....

The doctors and experts may say what they want to say about the third wave and the fourth wave and the dangers of omicron, but a doctor of hope says that all will be well for the industry by June 2022 and let us believe in the doctor of hope and hope for a better year and years to come.

The astrologer within me tells me that it will still be the year of Amitabh Bachchan who will be turning 80 in 2022. He has still got films on hand and there is no stopping to his best show, KBC.

The three khans , Amir , Salman and Shahrukh who are now in their late 50s will still be playing roles that stars of their age are playing and competing with them.

Amir has his most ambitious film, Laal Singh Chadda due for release in 2022. Salman will be working in Tiger 3 all through the year besides being extremely popular on his show Big Boss.

Shahrukh who has had a very bleak and rough and tough time since the last four years will if time is on his side fight back for his place at the top with his come back film Pathan and he may start working on Attlee's lion sometime during this year and if time which has not been very kind to SRK and changes its mood for SRK, he may find his place and even build his empire all over again and reach higher heights .

And Salman who started his 56th year with a snake bite which was not so dangerous will have to see the snake bite as an auspicious sign and continue to work as hard as he can and can grow better as an actor because at 56 there are very few chances of him or any of the three khans to find the kind of roles they used to play some 15 years ago or even 10 years ago.

To think of it, 2022 is a very crucial year, a make or break year for all the three khans.

And the astrologer in me says that the things could be better for Saif Ali khan if his film Bunty aur Babli 2 would have been a big hit, but that was not to be and Saif will have to show that even a Nawab will have to work like a slave if he has to succeed in the slippery world of films.

There are other actors and stars in the race, but the astrologer in me doesn't see any great hopes for them unless some power from nowhere works on their favour and they stand out and shine and if there are two male stars who have the ability to work their way to success ,it could be Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor.

The others will have to keep working and praying even if they don't believe in God to succeed because in films as Charlie Chaplin said even God cannot predict success for a film, for a star.

Among the girls, if there is one girl who is sure to find a place right on top , it is undoubtedly that little girl Alia Bhatt.

Alia has some very prestigious releases in 2022, films like RRR which is due to release in January.

The film as Salman khan said would run to full houses for the first four weeks and even advised other filmmakers not to release their films during the first four weeks of the running of RRR.

Ali also has Brahmastra , a multi million rupee project which has been held up for the last three years but will surely be released in the first half of 2022.

And if the film succeeds it will be a big step forward of the career of Alia. She also has good films like Gangubai Kathiawadi, Rocky aur Rani ki prem kahani and some other films in the planning stages which could go on the floors in the end of 2022.

Will that mean that her expected wedding with Ranbir kapoor will be postponed or will it mean that she will work even after her marriage?

 

Deepika padukone is the one who is running a very close race with Alia and the recently released 83 may have been a success only for Ranveer, but she has films like Pathan with SRK and other films ready to go on the floors.

Deepika may also make her debut in Hollywood where she has even started her own production company in collaboration with a big company from Hollywood.

The astrologer in me as always been a failure when it comes to predictions for actresses and he accepts his weakness, but he doesn't hesitant to say that some girls like Sara Ali khan , Ananya Pandey , Sharvari and some of the earlier actresses, especially Shraddha Kapoor have some chances of making it but my astrologer says that 2022 may see some big surprises when it comes to actresses, like my astrologer feels strongly that Suhana kapoor and Sara ,the pretty daughter of Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar will make a big splash on the Indian film industry, but my astrologer is still very sure that 'yahan kuch bhi ho sakta hai'.

Of one thing however my astrologer is sure and he says , "Jab tak achi kahaaniyan aur achha sangeet aur phir acche kalaakar nahin ubhrenge tab tak iss industry ko kaamyab hone ke liye sirf dua hi kuch kar sakti hai".
