“Each Of My Fans Resides In My Heart”, Insists Grateful Superstar Amitabh Bachchan On His 77th B’day

 “My immense gratitude and gratefulness to them that send their wishes for the 11th .. I cannot possibly thank each one individually .. but each one of you reside in my heart .. my love to you” reacted B’day Boy superstar Amitabh Bachchan who turns 77 years ‘young’. Tonight , during his Sony TV KBC quiz-show telecast, to mark his janam-din,  crores of home-viewers will notice ‘show-host’ Big B being ‘emotionally moved’ when he sees flash-back images and also hears the inspiring voice of his beloved ‘Babu-jee’ ( celebrated poet ‘late’ Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan).  Despite his advancing age of 77 years,  tech-savvy, par excellence actor Amitabh Bachchan with his exemplary enthusiasm and passion is  far ahead of today’s  young generation of  actors, some of whom are quite complacent after having tasted instant stardom.  What distinguishes Amitabh is that he keeps ‘re-inventing’ himself in contrasting roles and ‘experimenting’  with image-defying yet awesome ‘looks and get-ups’. My personal experience with Bachchan-saab over the past three decades is that he is frank, outspoken yet benevolent and caring. The Big B took time off from his busy schedule to text me a brief yet brilliant foreword tribute  ( with his autograph) for my authored memoirs book R D BurMania . Not just that, the unassuming Amit-jee even connected with me to confirm whether it was okay. Every time I directly communicate with Bachchan Sr.,  he responds within 15 minutes, except perhaps when he is totally pre-occupied . Even then, as soon as he gets time, he acknowledges. When I was not keeping well  he sent me a endearing  text, saying ‘prayers for your speedy recovery’.  After the fusion song ‘Badumbaaa’  with its fast-tempo Caribbean beats followed by  desi dholak beats was recorded in Bachchan-saab’s bass baritone voice for the maverick movie ‘102 Not Out’ , I exchanged inputs with the music-savvy singer-superstar regarding the music arrangements. Which I guess explains his supremacy, his greatness and yet  being grounded  with his empathizing nature. Long Live Bachchan-saab-- we wish you an active, creative, healthy life ahead.
