EDDIE REDMAYNE AND FELICITY JONES TO REUNITE FOR A PROJECT

The Oscar-winning Eddie Redmayne and co-star Felicity Jones are might be reuniting after 3 years for Amazon Studios' The Aeronauts reported Deadline.

The period action-adventure would be directed by Tom Harper who was also credited for the 2015 TV series War and Peace. The story is scripted by Jack Thorne, who is known for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and Wonder (2017).

The Aeronauts is a tale of two nineteenth-century hot air balloonists Amelia Wren (who would be played by Jones) and scientist James Glaisher (Redmayne) who, in 1862, embarked on an extraordinary journey to discover the secrets of the heavens. In the process, they flew higher in an open balloon than anyone had before or has since. They made breathtaking discoveries, but as they ascended to the highest points of the atmosphere, they were forced into an epic fight for survival.

The project is jointly produced by Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman along with Tom Harper.

Eddie Redmayne was earlier the part of many hit projects. He played Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything and was a lead character in Harry Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts. Currently, he is also filming the sequel of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald which releases in next November.

Felicity Jones has been busy with the biopic, On the Basis of Sex about Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She is also known for her role in the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Earlier Redmayne and Jones united for  2014 film The Theory of Everything based on the life of Stephen Hawking.
