New Update

Some three years ago, there was a gentle buzz about and unknown young actor who was supposed to have played an absolutely natural and brilliant role in an almost unknown film called “Masaan" - Ali Peter John

Slowly more and more people started taking about Vicky Kaushal and with his very first release, Vicky Kaushal was compared to some of the greatest natural actors and some veteran and leading critics were even inspired by the all-time great natural actors like Motilal, Dilip Kumar and Balraj Sahni...

His talent was fool recognised as all the major international Film festival in the world. Vicky Kaushal was an actor and a star in an exclusive class of his own.

It took people in the industry and outside it very little time to know that Vicky was the elder son of the Indian and internationally known stunt coordinator, Sham Kaushal who had proved how when a man decides to reach out for victory, no power and no circumstances could stop him.

It was only like the flight of a modern-day Jonathan Livingston Seagul who did not believe in looking back in fear or in fear of losing his director.

The flight for Vicky Kaushal was no ordinary flight and he liked his father had decided never to top even if he was given to believe that he had touched the sky of success and kept flying higher and scaling new peaks and even as he made his own efforts with his God given talent, he was being continuously blessed by the God who hits father, Sham Kaushal has always been kind to him and to his family.

Vicky continued surprising audiences of every kind in every kind of role he played, roles that seemed to have been specially made and created for him.

The last one year or more has seen Vicky doing all that is possible to make things possible as an actor who is not scared and is undaunted in the face of the most difficult and even dicey circumstances.

His last big triumph I was the release of “Uri"which was an all-round success in every department of filmmaking. Earlier Vicky had proved his talent in Meghna Gulzar's “Raazi".

I don't believe in useless and senseless gossip, but if there is one rumour I would love to believe is the rumour about“Raazi"being the best film at the National Awards and even Vicky being in the race to vie for one of the top awards and then many other awards.

The makers of“Uri",“Ronnie Screwwala and Aditya Dhar have been so impressed with Vicky that they have decided to cast him in the title role of the epic drama they are planning to make on a massive scale, a film called“Ashwatthama".

They have to finalise many other details about the film are still being finalised, but the makers are very sure that they can never change their minds about Vicky in the title role and like usual, Vicky knows that this is one of those films which can make him soar past all the peaks he has soared so far. And that seems to be the only reason why he is working so hard to prepare for the role.

A good actor who has more than proved himself can never fall short of good work and the most difficult to play roles and that is just what is happening in the case of Vicky Kaushal.

He will next be seen in Karan Johar's multi-starrer and highly ambitious (so what if a big film like“Kalank"becomes a kalank in the prosperous and still prospering Karan Johar?) Dharma Productions' “Takht".

The very fact that directors of every genre of film is thinking of films with Vicky Kaushal is a feather in his many-feathered and multi-coloured cap.

Vicky is doing films with directors who know what to do with his limitless talent, and so Vicky is doing a horror film and is also doing another historical with him playing the title role of “Uddham Singh" to be directed by Soojit Sircar...

Isn't having some of the most prestigious films enough for Vicky to make a mark? Ask Vicky and he says, “the day I stop learning from bigger and greater challenges can also mean the beginning of the end of my career and I am certainly not going to led that happen at this exciting and interesting stage of my career".

And ask Sham Kaushal, his father who should also have been flying high because of both his success and now more importantly, his son Vicky's success and he still has that content look on his face and still says,“God is kind".
