Emraan Hashmi's Cheat India is in news since it's trailer announcement. The movie which was about to clash with Thackarey got preponed and is releasing a week before now and now, the title of the film has been changed. The new title of the Soumik Sen directorial is Why Cheat India. The change has happened after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) objected to the title on the grounds of it being misleading.

Confirming the new title of his film, producer Tanuj Garg told a leading daily Mumbai Mirror, “Yes, the Board had concerns about the previous title. We had an extensive conversation regarding the proposed change since the theatrical trailer and TV promos had already been certified with the original title. We felt this would lead to dual communication with the audience but finally, in the interest of time, we mutually agreed on a title change.”
