The countdown has already begun for Krishna Janmashtami 2024 ( Aug 26th) celebrations with religious devotion and enthusiasm. In a heart-warming on-stage celebration full of divine vibes and spiritual fervour,  popular lyricist-singer, and organizer Kavi Narayan Agrawal 'Das Narayan' unveiled two captivating bhajans and two soul-stirring mantras on the auspicious occasion of this year (2024) Janmashtami. This memorable launch at Juhu ISKCON auditorium was conducted in the presence of staunch Krishna-bhakt star-actress-classical danseuse-singer-M.P.Hema Malini, iconic music luminaries Anup Jalota, composer-flautist Hariprasad Chaurasia, Nitin Mukesh, composer Vivek Prakash and of course ISKCON (Kharghar) President Dr.Sura Das to be a musical offering. That transcends the ordinary, touching the hearts of millions of Hindu devotees, Krishna devotees, and devotional music lovers alike.

At the launch event all the celebrities on stage were gifted with a beautifully sculpted small statue of Lord Krishna It was so inspiring and touching for everyone to observe Hema Malini’s sincere devotion towards Lord Krishna all thru the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Hema-jee shared with the invited audience that “ this Sunday ( August 25th) a day before  Janmashtami, Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi-jee would be inaugurating my new well-equipped modern cultural center new auditorium ‘Panchajanya’  in Mathura and I will also be performing Yashoda-Krishna ballet there,",” disclosed the charming evergreen Krishna-bhakt actress-classical danseuse and M.P.. Then Hema-jee also shared that ‘Panchajanya’ is the name of the sacred conch (shankha) used by Lord Krishna.

 The frank, candid Hema-jee also said, “Although I am an actress and a trained Bharata Natyam classical dancer, I am not a regular trained singer, But with the constant blessings of Lord Krishna and the active support and encouragement of all my talented legends-collaborators including Anup-jee, Pt Hari-jee, Nitin-jee, Vivek Prakash-jee, and Kavi Narayan-jee,  who are sitting with me here on stage, I am able to sing and record these Krishna bhajans and chanting of mantras. In life I have always tried to grab new opportunities including my successful political career for past consecutive three terms and now this devotional singing. It is only with Lord Krishna’s help and blessings I am able to achieve my versatile missions with success.. As regards Nitin Mukesh, I must share that his legendary father Mukesh-jee had sung amazing playback songs for my screen-hero Raj Kapoor in my debut movie ‘Sapnon Ka Saudagar’ (1968). Many years later his son Nitin Mukesh sang a very popular playback duet song ‘Zindagi Ki Na Toote Ladi’ (with Lata-Didi)  in my super-hit musical movie ‘Kranti’(1981),”, shared Hema Malini with nostalgic emotion.

The first of these devotional offerings is the bhajan “Krishna Krishna Krishna,” an evocative piece that immerses listeners in the all-encompassing love for Lord Krishna. The bhajan is a harmonious blend of soulful lyrics by Kavi Narayan Agrawal 'Das Narayan' and the mellifluous voices of Hema Malini and Nitin Mukesh. The revered Anup Jalota lends his masterful touch to the music, creating a timeless composition that resonates with the deep devotion of Bhakti tradition.

Accompanying this is another mesmerizing bhajan, “Main Krishna Ke Gun Gaoon,” where Hema Malini's serene vocals breathe life into the poignant lyrics of Kavi Narayan Agrawal ‘Das Narayan.' The bhajan is beautifully composed by Vivek Prakash, whose musical craftsmanship brings a new dimension to this devotional piece, inviting the listener to sing the praises of Lord Krishna.

The spiritual journey continues with the mantra “Shree Radha Ballabh Banke Bihari Jai Jai Jai Ghanshyam Murari,” presented in the traditional form of Sankirtan. Hema Malini’s enchanting voice, combined with the divine lyrics by Kavi Narayan Agarwal 'Das Narayan' and the ethereal music of Vivek Prakash, creates a powerful atmosphere of devotion.

Finally, the mantra “Shree Krishna Sharanam Mamah,” a chanting meditation, is set to transport the listener into a state of deep spiritual reflection. Hema Malini’s recitation, accompanied by the revered Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj, offers a meditative experience that calms the mind and soul, guiding devotees to surrender themselves completely to the divine will of Lord Krishna.

Alongside this spiritual journey, another remarkable track will be released: the traditional mantra "Shri Krishna Govind," sung by the esteemed Kavi Narayan 'Das Narayan' and his talented charming singer daughter Akanksha. (Also actively supporting themin their ventures is their talented beautiful daughter  Jayshree  Agarwal) . This addition, a beautiful blend of devotion and tradition, will be available on Zee Music Co., and Bhakti Sagar YouTube channel and TV channel.
