Over the past three decades Aamir Khan is known for his sudden twist-surprises, his perfection and also his daring nature to deviate and experiment with unconventional ( yet commercially viable) film subjects.  On Sunday, afternoon, he proved his surprise-brilliance while deviating into classical vocal music .(Bollywood music icons)

Aamir Khan impressed non other than classical maestros-singers-gurus like event co-hosts Suresh Wadkar and Padma Wadkar and celeb-guest Anup Jalota who were all praise for the enthusiastic Khan . Not wanting to take a blind risk, 'sangeet shaagird'  Aamir Khan requested his classical music-teacher Sucheta Banerjee ( eminent classical singer-Guru)   to join him on stage for 'riyaaz' and then  'followed' her vocal notes.    Veteran playback-singer composer Suresh Wadkar also disclosed (and sang a few lines) amidst applause that he had given playback for hero Aamir Khan  in this movie ' Dil' ( 1989) for this hit duet romantic heart-break song 'O Priya Priya' !(Aamir Khan riyaaz) 

Reacted jovial-natured  Anup Jalota,

" What highly impressed me about Aamir-bhai was that instead of a chair, he instantly sat on the stage-'floor' ( sitaraa zameen par ?)  and observed the sanskaar. . Although he is not a regular singer Aamir sang this difficult 'Jog' raag vocal notes so well with total dedication as he perfectly followed Guru Sucheta-jee,. Later Aamir was so happy, when I mentioned to him that I had sung the title-song for his movie  'Isi Ka Naam Zindagi' (1992) and that  the same song was also picturised mainly on me while my co-star was Pran-saab," disclosed Anup Jalota.(Aamir Khan sanskaar)
