Akanksha Chamola Makes a Comeback with ‘Dil Dhokha Aur Desire’, Flaunts a Bold New Avatar

Akanksha Chamola, wife of Bigg Boss 19 winner Gaurav Khanna, is once again in the spotlight as she prepares for her comeback after a long hiatus. She will be seen in the upcoming series Dil Dhokha Aur Desire. Along with Akanksha, the show also features Ali Hasan, Kunwar Amarjeet Singh, Kriti Garg, Ankur Bhardwaj, and Mahi Khan. The series is scheduled to stream on Shemaroo from 12 February 2026.

The cast was recently spotted at a press conference, where they interacted with the media and spoke about the upcoming series.

Akanksha on Her Comeback

Speaking about her return, Akanksha said that coming back after such a long gap feels extremely special. She shared that stepping into the OTT space so quickly—and that too with a prestigious banner like Shemaroo—marks an important turning point in her career. Talking about her character, she said, “This role is very layered, very real, and completely unpredictable. I learned a lot from this project, got scolded at times too, but as an actor, I am truly satisfied.” She added that after waiting for so many years, she did not want to compromise on her role at all.

Akanksha Opens Up on Intimate Scenes

Addressing questions about intimate scenes at the press conference, Akanksha said,“That’s a very valid question. Censorship laws have become quite strict, so we followed all the guidelines and stayed within our comfort zones. The director was exceptional—without him, we probably couldn’t have done this. The supporting team also ensured that female actors felt completely comfortable.” She further mentioned that intimacy coordinators were present on set during the shoot of such scenes.

Akanksha also explained that actors undergo workshop training before shooting intimate scenes to build comfort and trust. “There are intimacy workshops, not just acting workshops, where hesitation is addressed, comfort zones are discussed, and every step is planned and executed safely. Production houses also try to schedule such scenes later, so actors are already comfortable with each other.”

What Did the Family Say About Her Bold Look?

When asked about her husband Gaurav Khanna’s reaction to her bold and transformed look, Akanksha replied, “He hasn’t watched the series yet. There’s nothing off the record—our discussions are only about the character and the performance.”

She also addressed recent rumors about trouble in her marriage. Dismissing them outright, Akanksha clarified, “That was my post. My new series is coming, and I was promoting it. If people interpret it differently, what can I do?”

At the press conference, actor Ali Hasan described Akanksha’s return as a “very strong comeback” and thanked the entire team. Actor Kunwar Amarjeet Singh shared his thoughts on shooting intimate scenes, saying that such scenes work only when there is trust and comfort between co-actors. “When you know exactly how much is required, you can give your 100 percent—neither more nor less.”
