Akansha Ranjan Kapoor’s Big Reveal on Women’s Day: “I Froze My Eggs!”

Actress Akansha Ranjan Kapoor is slowly making her own space in the industry with her strong and character-driven acting. But this time on International Women’s Day she did not talk about her movies or career. Instead she shared a very personal and big decision about her life. Akansha revealed that she has frozen her eggs and she also shared the difficult and emotional journey she went through to reach this point.

In a very honest Instagram post Akansha shared some pictures from the hospital. She talked about the physical and mental challenges she faced in the last two weeks. 

"This is a process that many women go through but nobody really talks about it openly." By sharing her story Akansha tried to break that silence.

In her caption she wrote "Yesterday I froze my eggs!! I really didn't plan on sharing, but today feels like the right day to say this… the female body is wonderfully EXTRAORDINARY.

 The last two weeks were intense. Injecting myself with fat needles every day, hormones doing their thing, the bloating, the mood swings, the endless scans, the meds, the IV drip, and finally the surgery. But all i wanna say is - women are BADASSES.. and how in awe i am of how wonderfully intelligent and capable our bodies are."

She also shared another picture from the next day where she was dressed in sporty clothes. She was trying to get back to her normal routine but she admitted that even a 20-minute walk around her building was feeling very difficult.

She wrote "The 2nd pic is from today- dressing for the job I want. Athletic and getting back to my routine.. even though I could barely manage a 20-minute wobble around my building. But honestly, that felt like enough, Because this body just did something pretty amazing. Happy Women's Day."
