Ali Fazal completes final schedule of Aamir Khan Productions’ film ‘Lahore 1947’

Ali Fazal has finished the final shooting schedule of Aamir Khan Productions’ film Lahore 1947. This comes after he recently wrapped up the Mumbai and Banaras schedules of Mirzapur: The Movie.

After shooting back-to-back for several months, Ali has finally completed work on the much-awaited Lahore 1947. Handling many big projects at the same time, he has once again shown his hard work and dedication, while being part of strong and very different stories.

Made under Aamir Khan Productions and directed by veteran filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi, 'Lahore 1947' stars Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, and Shabana Azmi. The period drama is set around the time of India’s Partition and is considered one of the most anticipated films of the year.

Talking about finishing the film, Ali Fazal said, “Completing Lahore 1947 has been an emotional journey for me. This film is very different from anything I have done before. It is deeply connected to our history, but the emotions still feel very real even today. Working with Rajkumar Santoshi sir was a big learning experience. Sharing screen space with Sunny sir, Preity ma’am, and Shabana ji has been an honour. Every day on set taught me something new, not just about acting, but also about humility and hard work.”

He further added, “This film demanded a lot from me emotionally, mentally, and physically, and I am thankful for every bit of it. I am happy that audiences will see me in a new light. As this schedule ends, I want to thank the entire team from my heart. Lahore 1947 is not just a film; it connects us to our roots and reminds us of the strength of the human spirit.”
