Ali Fazal Completes Shooting for Anurag Basu’s 'Metro In Dino'

Bollywood star Ali Fazal announced on social media that he has completed the shoot of Metro In Dino, a sequel to Anurag Basu’s 2007 film Life In A Metro. This movie has been one of the director's most anticipated projects. It stars Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Pankaj Tripathi, and Fatima Sana Shaikh.

Ali Fazal took to his Instagram and posted a heartwarming picture with the rest of the cast and the movie's director, Anurag Basu, as the shooting was wrapping up. The image depicts the team's spirit of accomplishment and is a true reflection of teamwork.

Writing on his Twitter about the completion of the film's shooting, Ali Fazal, who starred in the movie Metro In Dino, and directed by Anurag Basu, said “Absolutely thrilled about the film and working with Anurag Basu. It was great fun working with Anurag sir again; as always, he was a consummate professional. This has always been his strength in vision and in telling a story and I am privileged to be part of this amazing team of Metro in Dinon. I am excited for the day when people will be able to watch what we have produced collectively.”

Metro In Dino prequel is hoped to retain the same emotional quotient and interconnecting narratives of the characters as in Life In A Metro and examine life and relationships of the modern-day metros. The movie is expected to premiere in the first part of the year 2025.
