The 2024-25 edition of the prestigious Lakshminarayana Global Music Festival, held at the esteemed Rasika Ranjani Sabha from December 20th to 22nd, captivated audiences with a dazzling array of instrumental music and dance performances.

The festival showcased a blend of legendary maestros and rising stars, featuring captivating performances by Vijay Karthikeyan and Prakash Ilaiyaraja on the nadaswaram, a mesmerizing jugalbandi between Satish Vyas on santoor and U Rajesh on the mandolin, and a spellbinding solo by Ambi Subramaniam on the violin.

The Lakshminarayana Youth Festival provided a platform for emerging talents, including C Charulatha on the veena and Indrayuddh Majumdar on the sarod, showcasing the future of Indian classical music.

The festival paid homage to musical giants, honoring Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam with the Lakshminarayana International Award for her immense contributions to the dance world. Ustaad Amjad Ali Khan, a legendary figure in Indian classical music, was also bestowed with the prestigious award, a testament to his illustrious career.

The festival culminated in a truly unforgettable experience with a legendary jugalbandi between the global violin icon, Dr. L. Subramaniam, and the revered Ustaad Amjad Ali Khan. The Lakshminarayana Global Music Festival also announced an exciting new initiative: an annual all-day instrumental music festival, to be held on the third Saturday of December each year.
