“This year, my birthday plans are more introspective. I’m planning to meditate in the Vrindavan temple, a place that holds deep spiritual significance for me. I want to start the year with gratitude, reflecting on all the blessings and growth I’ve experienced,” she says.

She adds, “One discovery I’m proud of this year is my resilience. Life has thrown unexpected challenges my way, and I’ve learned to embrace them with a stronger mindset and a deeper sense of calm, for which I’m truly grateful.”

Sharing her best birthday memories, she says, “One of my fondest birthday memories goes back to a time when I was surrounded by close family and friends, all there to celebrate and make the day incredibly special. It wasn’t about grand gestures, but the warmth and love that made it unforgettable.”

Age is just a number, says the designer, adding, “I believe that age is indeed just a number. Every year brings new lessons, wisdom, and self-discovery that have nothing to do with age but everything to do with experience and perspective.”

As for a birthday gift, she shares that she has often made something for herself. “As a designer, I have, on occasion, created something special for myself as a birthday gift. Once, I designed a saree inspired by traditional art forms, using techniques that honor Indian artisans. Wearing something I designed for myself was a meaningful experience, as it symbolized my journey and passion for my craft,” she says.

She concludes, “My birthday rituals often include moments of reflection, meditation, and journaling. It’s a time for me to connect with my inner self, align with my goals, and set intentions for the coming year. This year, I may gift myself a special book or something that nurtures my spiritual growth.”
