Finally, the  khush khabri for all retro-music lovers and Suresh Wadkar ardent loyal fans! Legendary classical singer, amazing playback singer ‘Padma Shri’ Suresh Wadkar was in a cheerful, jubilant mood. That’s because sangeet-Guru Suresh Wadkar, will turn Radio FM host on his much awaited "Ae Zindagi Gale Laga Le" weekly one-hour My-FM radio show (produced by Studio Refuel) will now premiere from this Sunday Dec 1st from 8pm to 9pm. This was announced today evening at his Ajivasan Hall at Juhu.

Known for his soulful voice and timeless peppy and haunting melody-songs, Suresh and his music-savvy collaborators RJ Kumarr and Siddharth ( MyFM) chose this catchy evergreen song mukhda "Ae Zindagi Gale Laga Le" for his radio-show, which is from the landmark film "Sadma’ (1983). The evergreen retro-song is composed by Southside genius Ilaiyaraaja (also fondly called ‘Raja’). As is widely known, Suresh has numerous evergreen retro-chartbusters sung by him under different legendary composers like Chappa Chappa Charkha Chale (Machhis-1996-Vishal Bharadwaj), Megha Rey Megha Rey (Pyaasa Saawan- Laxmikant Pyarelal), Tumse Milke (Parinda-1989—R D Burman) and Seene Mein Jalan (Gaman—Jaidev), Huzoor Iss Kadar Bhi (Masoom with Bhupinder- R D Burman), Lagi Aaj Saawan Ki (Yash Chopra’s Chandni –Shiv-Hari),  Aur Kya Ahde Wafaa—Sunny-R D Burman and of course showman Raj Kapoor’s movie Ram Teri Ganga Maili title song –Ravindra Jain and yet again the title song of Raj Kapoor’s Prem Rog—Laxmikant Pyarelal.

Dynamic innovative Suresh Wadkar is venturing into FM radio show hosting for the ‘first time’, was expressed his excitement about this new creative dimension journey. The MY FM radio show, which will promises to be a weekly one-hour musical journey where the outspoken Suresh Wadkar will reveal some unheard stories from his memories and rare little-known facts and trivia about his song-recordings, his song-sittings and his live concerts “Besides sweet happy nostalgia incidents in my life and career, but ( khatta-meetha) also maybe unfiltered thoda-sa bitter and sour memories and experiences will be shared by me and some startling facts about my career and songs,” assures Suresh-jee, who has the constant support of his life-partner wife Padma Wadkar.  

The modest, Suresh-jee says, “Although as a senior singer with vast repertoire, I belong to ‘show-biz’-- but I am not a ‘show-baaz’. I have never believed in false hype but only in genuine heart-felt music-related content- sharing with my radio-listeners and loyal fans, “Meanwhile Kumarr informs me that "each weekly radio-show will have ideally eight curated songs of Suresh-jee along with brief music-related discussions. They will also serve as healing therapy-experiences for listeners. As a bonus, there could even be brief surprise interactions with eminent music composers like Pyarelal-jee and filmy celebs like Hema Malini and Madhuri-jee. During legendary Raj Kapoor’s ‘Birth Centenary’ week in mid-Dec, we will also have Suresh-jee recalling his fond memories with Raj-saab during sittings and recordings on My-FM’, assures Kumarr.
