On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, the special screening of the Marathi web series ‘Baai Tujhyapayi’, directed by Nipun Dharmadhikari, took place in Mumbai. The event was attended by the series’ star cast, makers, and several well-known Marathi film celebrities.

What’s the Story?

Produced under the banner of Sixteen by Sixty-Four Productions and directed by Nipun Dharmadhikari, the series presents an inspiring tale of a teenage girl’s courage, education, and struggle. It is written by Nikhil Khaire and Mukta Bam.

The story is set in the fictional village of Vadgaon (Vasai) during the 1990s. Its protagonist, Ahilya, is a determined and resilient girl who dares to challenge age-old traditions that deny women access to education. Despite societal restrictions and patriarchal beliefs, Ahilya dreams of studying and progressing in life. Her silent rebellion against superstition and male dominance becomes a beacon of hope for the entire village.
