Big Screen Collaboration: Junglee Pictures Joins Hands with Raj Kumar Gupta for Tentpole Film

Junglee Pictures has officially announced its collaboration with acclaimed writer-director Raj Kumar Gupta for an ambitious, large-scale tentpole theatrical film. This partnership brings together two powerful creative forces known for crafting hard-hitting, rooted, and impactful stories that resonate deeply with audiences on a grand scale.

Raj Kumar Gupta is counted among those Indian filmmakers who have successfully blended realistic subjects with strong commercial appeal. He is best known for acclaimed films such as Aamir, No One Killed Jessica, and the Raid franchise, including Raid 2. The recently released Raid 2 has secured a spot among the Top 10 highest-grossing theatrical films of 2025. His storytelling consistently reflects social realism, sharp observation, emotional depth, and mass appeal—leaving a lasting impact on viewers.

On the other hand, Junglee Pictures has built an impressive filmography over the years, producing blockbuster, superhit, and critically acclaimed films such as Badhaai Ho, Raazi, Talvar, Badhaai Do, and Bareilly Ki Barfi. The studio’s films are known not just for entertainment, but also for sparking meaningful social and cultural conversations. In 2025, Junglee Pictures’ Hindi film Haq and Malayalam film Ronth received strong appreciation across theatres and streaming platforms alike.

The script of this untitled film has already been completed, and the casting process is expected to begin soon. Sources suggest that while the film will retain the director’s signature style, it promises to deliver an intense, gripping, and impactful cinematic experience on a large scale.

Speaking about the collaboration, Vineet Jain, MD of The Times Group, said,“Junglee Pictures has always supported stories with cultural relevance that connect deeply with audiences.
