Bollywood New Year 2026 Plans: Stars Stay Secretive, Traditions And Family Moments Lead The Way

One full year is coming to an end, and a new year is about to begin! Standing at the junction of 2025 and 2026, what would an artist like to tell their beloved fans? Where will they spend New Year’s Eve, and with whom? I placed this natural curiosity before many stars. Everyone gave the same answer—“We don’t know yet, we’ll think about it then.”

However, everyone did feel the excitement of the question… when the eyelids of 2025 are fluttering shut and the year 2026 stands ahead, stretching itself, ready to run the long race of 365 days… Where will the stars be at this age-junction, and with whom?

All answers were uncertain, though the certainty was clear in everyone’s mind. Everyone made the same excuse—“Haven’t thought about it.” But all of them admitted, “We’ll party, drink, and be with friends.” These answers came from artists like Manoj Bajpayee, Sanjay Mishra, Ketaki Dabe, Rani Chatterjee, and others.

Last year’s story was equally entertaining. When the clock struck midnight on December 31, 2024, ushering in 2025, many answers changed. A few anecdotes from that time are still remembered.

One amusing story was about Amitabh Bachchan. He stayed awake so that when the New Year bell rang, he could tweet messages for his admirers on X. Big B posted three messages in quick succession at midnight.

The first post read: “New year, new joy, new rise in life; new desires, new paths, a new flow of life.”
The second post said: “Long live 2025.”
And the third post had a touch of humour: “Set off—for 365 days.”

Salman Khan's birthday and New Year celebration details

Salman Khan’s New Year celebrations begin with his birthday on December 27. He has consistently celebrated both his birthday and New Year with family and friends at his Panvel farmhouse near Mumbai. Last year, after partying at his sister Alvira’s house, he hosted a party at the Panvel farmhouse. More or less, the situation is the same this year. Since receiving death threats, his schedule has been kept very restricted. According to sources, this year on his birthday, Salman’s mother, Salma Khan, sister Alvira, and brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri will gather at the farmhouse with family to celebrate both New Year and his birthday.

Last year, Saif Ali Khan’s family—his mother, sister, brother-in-law Kunal Kemmu, his children Ibrahim Ali and Sara, along with grandmother Sharmila Tagore—celebrated New Year at the Pataudi Palace, built by cricketer Nawab Pataudi. Meanwhile, Saif and Kareena quietly went abroad for a week-long vacation. Sharmila ji wanted the entire family to come together and welcome the New Year as one. That was what was conveyed, but things turned out differently.

Where there are stars, there are busy schedules. Sharmila Tagore celebrated the New Year at the palace with half the family, playing games. She began 2025 with Ludo, walks, and gym sessions. Perhaps the beginning of 2026 will be similar.

For Rashmika Mandanna, the threshold of 2025 proved so strong that she is already being seen as the frontrunner of 2026 as well. Her films have achieved great success, and she is considered the brightest star of the coming year, too. Last year, she wished her fans a Happy New Year at midnight with a heartfelt “Thank you.” This year, she is likely to do the same.

Raveena Tandon and her daughter Rasha Thadani prefer to stay at home and pray to Lord Shiva. Raveena is a devoted follower of Lord Shiva, and her daughter, following the same path, has stepped into stardom. They believe that the New Year should begin with prayer.
