Bright Outdoor Media CMD Dr. Yogesh Lakhani gets emotional as he says "An era has come to an end and I am shocked by the passing of P.K. Bajaj Ji"

The news of Mayapuri magazine editor, legendary Shri P.K. Bajaj has left the founder and CMD of Bright Outdoor Media Limited Dr. Yogesh Lakhani completely stunned. His friendship with the Bajaj family has been there for the last forty to fifty years. Just like how the Mayapuri family saw Dr. Yogesh Lakhani rising from the dust to great success he too  saw Mayapuri reaching new heights step by step.

 Today when Dr. Yogesh Lakhani was talking about our dear late editor P.K. Bajaj sir, he could not control himself. His voice choked and tears sparkled in his eyes.

He said "My friendship with P.K. Bajaj Ji started when I was just a struggling young man. I used to work in a small table space and put up small posters by the roadside. Sometimes I used to get work for making posters of small films and it was during one such poster work that I met P.K. Bajaj Ji. He was such a good human being that he stopped to look at my work and talked to me about the struggles of my life."

In those days Mayapuri was slowly moving towards its peak.

 The friendship that grew between us at that time became a bond for life. When my company Bright Outdoor Media Limited slowly started achieving huge success P.K. Bajaj Ji became a witness to my journey. Whenever I went to Delhi I always informed him. He was a very capable editor and an even more generous host. No matter how busy he was, he never left any stone unturned in welcoming me. His son Shri Aman Kumar Bajaj has the same nature. He is also very kind hearted and a great person just like his father.

 Whenever I visited Delhi both P.K. Bajaj Ji and Aman Kumar Bajaj Ji took great care of me. Similarly when they came to Mumbai they never left without meeting me.

For years the advertisements of my company Bright Outdoor Limited and photos of my events have been getting published in Mayapuri magazine, Mayapuri dijital, Mayapuri websites. P.K. Bajaj Ji never forgot to wish me on my birthday or my wife Jagriti's birthday or  my son Anugrah's birthday. Every time he used to publish detailed articles about it in Mayapuri and always made sure you interviewed me. My son cannot stay without reading 'Lotpot' and he has been watching the 'Motu Patlu' series on TV and digital platforms since the beginning.

Whenever I organized star nights with film celebrities, many times P.K. Bajaj Ji and Aman Kumar Bajaj Ji attended my events as special guests. On my request they even came on stage and I had the honor of welcoming them on stage. I have met Bajaj ji thousands of times over these years. P.K. Bajaj Ji was a very humble person. He was very happy that I often serve poor children and the elderly. Bajaj Ji also told me that he definitely gives donations to those who are truly in need.

I have closely seen the successful journey of Mayapuri and 'Lotpot'. I have been reading them since I was a teenager. At that time they were only available as magazines and the readership was more than 350 lakh. With time today when Mayapuri and 'Lotpot' are available digitally and their websites are becoming so popular the sudden departure of Bajaj Ji is a huge loss for the entertainment world. 

For all of us and his family it is a pain that can never lessen. But no one can change destiny. Pure souls like P.K. Bajaj Ji are rarely born and they leave for the final journey after showing everyone the right path. Maybe even God needed him. I pray that his soul rests in peace and God gives us the strength to bear this loss.
