Bringing the Flood of Franchise Films – Bhushan Kumar

In Bollywood, nearly every second film that is released seems to be connected to Bhushan Kumar in some way. Just recently, his film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 broke numerous records in the cinema world during the Diwali season. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that Bhushan Kumar is at the forefront of the franchise film wave, and that's why one franchise film after another keeps coming from his production house. Today, let’s take a look at some of his upcoming franchise films.

Raid 2 and De De Pyaar De 2

According to sources close to the Bollywood industry, after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, the next two films set to release on the big screen are Raid 2 and De De Pyaar De 2. Raid 2, starring Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, and Vaani Kapoor, is scheduled to hit theaters on February 21, 2025. Following that, De De Pyaar De 2, featuring Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, and R. Madhavan, will be released in May 2025.

Border 2

Next up, Bhushan Kumar will bring India’s biggest war film, Border 2, to the screen, featuring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh. This highly anticipated film is set to release on January 23, 2026, in time for Republic Day. Directed by Anurag Singh, the film is produced by JP Dutta, Bhushan Kumar, and Nidhi Dutta.

Animal Park

After Border 2, Animal Park, the sequel to the 2023 cult blockbuster Animal, will hit the screens. Ranbir Kapoor will once again take the lead role in this film, which is expected to begin production in 2026, once Sandeep Reddy Vanga wraps up Spirit with Prabhas.

Dhamal 4

There are also rumors that the superhit comedy franchise Dhamal will soon return with Dhamal 4, which is in the development phase and may begin filming in 2025.

Additionally, a sequel to the hit film Pati Patni Aur Woh, titled Pati Patni Aur Woh 2, is also on the horizon. This, along with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4, is set to release in the coming years. The exciting part is that both films will star Kartik Aaryan in the lead role.

A Legacy of Franchise Hits

Bhushan Kumar has already made his mark with several successful franchise films, including Aashiqui 2, Satyamev Jayate 2, Haseen Dillruba, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, and Hate Story 4. With so many big projects lined up, it’s clear that Bhushan Kumar is shaping the future of franchise cinema in Bollywood.
