The official journey for Antimatter Films and Images International's keenly anticipated socio-thriller, CASH...M...KASH, began today with a press conference and unveiling of the title poster. The grand event was hosted at the prestigious Constitution Club, Rafi Marg, New Delhi and saw the presence of esteemed guests, including Chief Guest Shri Vijay Goel, Former Union Minister and Vice Chairman, Gandhi Smriti and Gandhi Darshan and Guest of Honour Shri Kapil Mishra, Minister for Art, Culture & Tourism, Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
The launch event, which also marked the official start of production, highlighted how the film presents a critical examination of Mahatma Gandhi’s principles against the backdrop of modern society's intense focus on material wealth.
“Shri Vijay Goel, Former Union Minister and Vice Chairman, Gandhi Smriti and Gandhi Darshan, while speaking at the event, shared happiness over the way makers have incorporated Gandhi's teachings in the film, especially for the younger generation to learn. "People haven't really understood Gandhi Ji. There will be research on Gandhi, symposiums will be held, there will be his museums and exhibitions, people will talk about him, there will be speeches. But the real essence of Gandhi ji's values is yet to reach the younger generation.
He further explains how following Gandhi and his teaching is not a difficult task. In fact, his principles have been taught to us since ancient times. He added, "Gandhi did not do anything new, but what he did was new renunciation, sacrifice. That is what we need to be taught today. If there is sacrifice, a person does not run after worldly attachments so much." Taking a pause, he remarks, "Giving a speech is not that simple. When I speak, the same line goes through my mind: 'Vijay Goel, are you following what you are saying or not?
Addressing the message of the film, the Minister stated his belief that the film is "giving a good message" and that the points raised are "absolutely correct." He lamented the contemporary state of affairs, noting, "Gandhi has been reduced to just being on currency notes." He reiterated that even with his image on the currency, "people are not looking at what Gandhi's true form was, or how to follow Gandhi."
Goel then elaborated on the historical significance of the Charkha (spinning wheel). He explained that when cloth was primarily imported from Manchester, the idea behind the charkha was for every household to possess one. "After that, the spinning wheel became synonymous with the Andolan (movement). After that, the spinning wheel became synonymous with Swadeshi," he said.
The Minister also mentioned the use of the charkha in the film, noting that he was "told that in this film... the Charkha gives a message intermittently about whether what we are doing is right or not." However, he emphasized the primary source of moral guidance, stating, "But true values are received at home from parents. True values are received from Gurus (teachers)." He posed a rhetorical question regarding the transmission of values: "If they themselves are busy with worldly attachments, then who will impart the values?”
Shri Kapil Mishra, Minister for Art, Culture & Tourism, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, addressing the audience, said, “I am deeply grateful to Shri Vijay Goel Ji, whose personality and work have touched every dimension of society. Observing his social and political journey over the past two decades has been a learning experience for me. I congratulate the entire team, artists, and Ajit Ji for creating a film that goes beyond commercial interests. Films today shape dialogue, character, and national sentiment. Gandhi’s principles reflect the essence of Sanatan Dharma, giving timeless lessons in modern politics. Choosing this subject is courageous, and I believe the makers’ commitment to values over quick gains will make this film truly successful.”
Appreciating the makers' effort in bringing out a story that is beyond the commercial aspects of cinema, he said, "People quickly think, if we're making a film, let's make one that brings in quick money, sells instantly, and the subject matter can be anything after that. So, the fact that the makers of this movie didn't fall into the trap is great. Many best wishes for this film, and may it achieve great success."
Director Ajit Sinha, writer Raaj Verma, and producers Virender Bhalla, Shahroz Ali Khan, Ajit Sinha, and Ragini Gunjan have assembled a stellar cast including Aham Sharma, Saie Tamhankar, Adarsh Barik, Pallavi Singh, Govind Pandey, Durgesh Kumar, Yash, Siddhant Goel, and Rune Temte. With music by Vipin Patwa and lyrics by Dr. Sagar, the film aims not only to thrill but to challenge.
Present at the Event was Rajpal Yadav, who also talked about Gandhi ji and his teachings. He shared how talking about Gandhi is like showing Lamp to the light itself, he shared excitement for the film and wished luck to director Ajit Singh.
While addressing the audience Director Ajit Sinha, spoke about the most compelling aspect of the film’s structure, use of the Charkha, and more (Gandhi’s spinning wheel). It functions as the production’s central narrative device - a moral conscience observing the action unfold.
The film, in fact, does not open with a character, but with a voice of the charkha- Gandhi's eternal witness. It says, I spun the threads that clothed a revolution. I saw Satyagrah, sacrifice, and truth topple an empire. Today, I gather dust in drawing rooms. Children know Gandhi only as a face on currency, not as a nation's conscience. I have watched greed devour honesty....and now I will show you what I have seen. "
CASH...M...KASH is slated for a worldwide release in 2026, offering audiences a high-impact thriller coupled with a critical reflection on societal morality.
