Celebrating a Decade of Karanvir Sharma's Zid

Today marks a significant milestone in the career of actor Karanvir Sharma as his film 'Zid' celebrates its 10th anniversary. Released on November 28, 2014, 'Zid' brought Sharma into the limelight, helping him cement his foothold in the Indian film industry. Directed by Vivek Agnihotri and produced by Anubhav Sinha, the film captivated audiences with its intense storyline and compelling performances.

Reflecting on the decade since 'Zid's' release, Karanvir Sharma shared,

"It’s incredible to think that it’s been ten years since Zid came out. The film holds a special place in my heart. It was a dream launch pad with Vivek Agnihotri Sir directing me. Working with such a talented cast and crew was an unforgettable experience, and I learned a lot on the sets. I am excited about what lies ahead, and hope to keep pushing boundaries and delivering performances that resonate with audiences.”

Karanvir's performance as the leading man, Rohan, aka "Ronnie" Achrekar—a crime reporter entangled in a web of mystery and suspense—was immensely appreciated. As a part of the prep Karanvir lost Just add how Karanvir lost 18 kilos in 28 days for the role and overcame his fear of Hydrophobia. The film had an amazing soundtrack and the songs 'Mareez - E - Ishq', 'Sanson Ko' and 'Tu Zaroori'  till date are played on radio and on YouTube have crossed over 70 million views. The film also marked the debut of actress Mannara Chopra and also has Shraddha Das playing a pivotal role.

Since his debut, Sharma has continued to leave a mark in the industry with notable performances in films like 'Azhar' (2016), 'Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana' (2017), and 'A Thursday' (2022), as well as popular television series such as 'Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani' and 'Rabb Se Hai Dua'. His dedication to his craft and ability to portray diverse characters have earned him a loyal fan base and critical acclaim. Currently, he is winning hearts as Madhav Bharadwaj in Dangal TV's highest-rated show, 'Safal Hogi Teri Aradhana'.
