This Dhanteras, I'm planning to invest in a new silver coin and some gold jewelry for my family. I also intend to purchase some utensils and kitchenware, as it's considered auspicious. Yes, I try to make at least one significant purchase every Dhanteras, as it symbolizes prosperity and good fortune, and yes, every year on Dhanteras, my family and I follow the tradition of worshipping Lord Dhanwantari, the god of health and medicine. We also light diyas, offer prayers, and distribute sweets among loved ones. Additionally, we buy new utensils, clean and decorate our homes, and spend quality time together. It's a beautiful way to begin the festive season!

I just bought a small silver coin for Dhanteras to keep the tradition. And do puja of Dhanvantari and Goddess Lakshmi. Dhanteras is commended for lighting the first lamp outside the home point in the south direction. This custom is believed to help avoid untimely demise in the family, guaranteeing longevity and assurance.

I haven't planned yet what I will buy for 2024 dhanteras, as I am not getting enough time to plan anything due to the daily shoot schedule. But I will buy something for sure, as it's a belief system of our Indian culture. Till date I bought it for my ghar ke mandir ke bhagwan ji, silver thal, katori, spoon, glass lota, Diya, and everything. Now let's see what God allows me to buy this year.

This Dhanteras, I’m planning to invest in some gold jewelry. It’s become a bit of a tradition for me to buy something special every year. I feel like it’s a great way to celebrate the festival and also make a meaningful investment.Over the years, I’ve been following the tradition of cleaning and decorating my home to welcome prosperity. We also light diyas and worship Lord Dhanvantari for good health and wealth. It’s always a special time filled with joy and positive vibes.

Every year during Dhanteras, there is one mandatory thing that I always do: I buy gold and silver. It could be anything in silver, maybe a utensil, a decorative item for the house, or just a simple, elegant silver piece to keep on the table. I also make sure to purchase gold, usually in the form of gold coins or small pieces for myself. This has been a tradition I’ve followed for many years, and it’s something I never miss. Yes, I believe that Dhanteras is a day of rituals for me. As I mentioned, for many, many years, I’ve been buying things on this day. It could be something for the house, like getting the entire house painted or bringing in a new piece of furniture. It’s a tradition I’ve followed for years. Buying gold and silver and doing something special for the home has always been a ritual for me on Dhanteras. Along with that, it’s also a tradition to decorate the house with traditional lights and buy new items, including clothes. These are mandatory parts of the celebration for me, and it’s something I make sure to do every year. That’s how the tradition goes.

For Dhanteras, I usually invest in gold or something that holds long-term value. It’s a tradition in my family to buy something auspicious, and I try to keep that alive each year. While I don’t follow a set routine every time, I ensure that the purchase symbolizes prosperity and well-being, whether it’s gold, silver, or something that feels right in that moment. One tradition I always follow is cleaning the house and doing a small puja in the evening. It’s not just about the material purchase but also about welcoming positive energy and new beginnings into the home. This adds a deeper meaning to the celebration beyond just buying things.

Shivangi Verma:

Every year, no matter how good or bad I was doing, I would buy some sort of gold. I also got my car during dhanteras. I find it very auspicious to buy something on that day. Dhanteras is very special, so be it a gold coin, a silver coin or something for the mandir. When we used to shoot, we used to give each other Apta or sonpatta as a symbol of gold to each other. I think I’ll be buying something in gold as a symbol this year.
