The suspense-mystery is now over regarding the fifth actress in Yash’s Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups is finally over. Apparently, charming Southside star-actress Rukmini Vasanth has been discreetly a part of the same film all along, with the makers deliberately keeping her involvement under wraps.
In fact, talented Rukmini ( who hails from Bangalore) has apparently already shot extensively for the same project and has shared multiple scenes with superstar Yash ( of mega-hits KGF Chapter 1 & 2 fame) during the Mumbai schedule. According to a reliable source.. Only a few days of filming remain for her.

Rukmini Set for Bollywood Debut with Fluent Hindi
Since Rukmini has apparently had and has family friends and contacts among North Indians, she speaks correct fluent Hindi with the right accent !! It won't come as a surprise to me if -- (like originally Bangalore-based mega-star Deepika Padukone) ---actress Rukmini also makes her acting debut in Hindi Bollywood in the near future!
The same source added, “The film was always mounted with an ensemble of strong female characters, and Rukmini’s role is no different. She brings a strong and well-defined presence to the story. The team wanted to preserve the surprise for as long as possible, which is why her name was kept confidential until now.”. Dedicated screen-performer Rukmini, a graceful dancer and a Filmfare Critics Award-winner ( Kannada) is a trained actress from the RADA- a prestigious drama school in London!

Hailing from Yash’s home turf of the Kannada industry, Rukmini Vasanth has been riding high on acclaim for Sapta Sagaradaache Ello. She also has Madharaasi, Kantara Chapter 1, and NTR Neel lined up, making her one of the busiest and most-watched young acting talents today
Meanwhile, Rukmini Vasanth has stepped into one of the most iconic cinematic worlds in Kannada cinema — Kantara ( prequel-2025) — and for her, the experience is nothing short of a dream come true. The rising star, celebrated for her nuanced performance in Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, now joins writer-director-lead-star-hero Rishab Shetty in the highly anticipated expansion of the Kantara universe.
The fantastic opportunity came to her early last year, and it left a lasting impression.
“I was approached for this film early last year. That’s when I met Rishab sir, and he shared the story with me. He was very kind and asked if I would like to be part of this project — and honestly, it was a complete dream come true,” says Rukmini!
Having earned Rishab Shetty’s admiration after Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, the casting felt like a full-circle moment for Rukmini. She shares, “He had been extremely kind to me ever since Sapta came out. He said some very generous things at the premiere, and it meant a lot to me. So, for him to value my work and then offer me a role in a film that’s so anticipated and exciting… it felt really special.”
But while the news filled her with excitement, Rukmini had to hold onto the secret until the right moment. “I wanted to shout it out from the rooftops as soon as it became confirmed !. It felt like such a daunting yet thrilling opportunity. But I knew it had to be announced at the right time — so in a way, it became this lovely little secret I carried with me," shares the passionate actress
From the anticipation to the big reveal, affable Rukmini’s Kantara journey also reflects gratitude, growth, and the thrill of stepping into a world that has already captured the nation’s imagination.
