Chunky Panday, fondly known in Bollywood as ‘Aakhri Pasta’ and father of actress Ananya Panday, was recently seen in Housefull 5 alongside Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, and Nana Patekar. He recently sat down for an interview with Bollywood Bubble to talk about his upcoming film, Detective Sherdil.

Chunky Pandey's FUNNY Interview

In the interview, he was joined by veteran actor Boman Irani, Diana Penty, Banita Sandhu, and Sumeet Vyas. Although popular singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh and actress Ratna Pathak Shah also feature in the film, they were not present during the interview. The story of the film revolves around the theme of greed for money. In line with that, the interviewer asked all the cast members if they had ever done something bizarre for money.

Chunky Shared a Bizarre Incident

Responding to the question, Chunky Panday shared a strange and unusual experience from the early days of his career. He said, "It was my mistake. Yes, I attended a funeral—but not out of my own will! You see, in those days, actors didn’t have many income sources apart from events and films."
He went on to explain how an event organizer once invited him to an event, asking him to wear white. He assumed it was just the dress code. However, upon arriving, he realized it was a funeral, and the crowd was shocked to see him there.

"I suddenly saw a dead body in front of me and thought maybe the organizer himself had passed away," he said. Soon after, he discovered that he had unknowingly been invited to attend a funeral.

Chunky recalled that the organizer whispered to him as a joke, "If you cry, you’ll get a bit more money." But since Chunky didn’t feel very emotional, he ignored the idea of crying. Without naming anyone, he mentioned that there was another actor present at the funeral who cried a lot and was allegedly paid ₹50,000 for it.

Chunky further revealed that the deceased had taken a lot of money from the market and was pretending to produce a film. To make people believe this story and his financial downfall, film industry actors were called to his funeral. Chunky clarified that he had no intention of attending a funeral for money and that he was tricked into going.
