Multiple National Film Awards winner and daring maverick movie writer-director "Padma Shri" Madhur Bhandarkar this time is all set to shock his audiences, Yes its his next bold, realistic yet fantastic original subject Hindi movie 'Wives of Bollywood!

In the past he made Chandni Bar which probed the stark reality of shady dance-bars and the grimy underworld, while in the movie Page 3, he exposed the underbelly zone of upcoming stars and Page-3 socialites and glamour journalism, Then with Heroine he showcased the lives of star-actresses in Bollywood, then there was Fashion was a sneak-peek into the glitter and bitter reality of the fashion world models and designers... Then Madhur also directed realistic socially-relevant yet entertaining movies like Traffic Signal and later OTT movies such as Babli Bouncer and India Lockdown
Now Madhur is all set to depict the life of Bollywood wives with realistic shock-value treatment, with the Hindi movie 'Wives of Bollywood' which is his original subject. !

Speaking about his latest movie on the Biwis of Bollywood--. “There is much curiosity surrounding the lives of Bollywood star wives. The film will showcase the startling stories inspired by their reality,” said Madhur talking about his next directorial which is titled Wives of Bollywood, which aims at revealing the hidden realities of Bollywood’s most glamorous wives.

The multiple National Film Awards winner and a Padma Shri awardee is known for his socially relevant award-winning films such as Chandni Bar, Page 3, Fashion, Traffic Signal, and India Lockdown.

Talking about the project  Madhur tells us, “Wives of Bollywood promises to shed light on the unseen facets of the glamorous lives that the star-wives lead, peppered with scandal, gossip, power struggles, and eye-popping luxury. There is a lot of speculation around the lives of star wives, the aim is to bring these untold stories inspired by real incidents, on the big screen.”

Bhandarkar’s latest bold and beautiful project ‘Wives of Bollywood’ promises to shed light on the unseen facets of the glamorous lives that the wives of Bollywood star-wives lead, peppered with scandal, gossip, power struggles, and eye-popping luxury.

With a career spanning over two decades and a reputation for making films that critique societal injustices, Bhandarkar's next film is expected to offer a bold commentary on the social life of the entertainment industry.

By the way, this latest breaking-news does remind the news-media of Karan Johar’s show The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. In fact, way back in 2020, Madhur and Karan had a dispute over the title. However, it was amicably resolved in Madhur' 's favor.
