President Smt. Draupadi Murmu distributed the 70th National Film Awards at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on 8 October. In this ceremony, apart from many awards related to the best feature and non-feature films for the year 2022, actor Mithun Chakraborty was given the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the highest honor of the film world. In the same ceremony, Delhi-based independent film critic Deepak Dua was given the 'Best Film Critic' award. This is India's most prestigious award given in the field of film journalism, which is given every year to one of the film critics of all Indian languages. Deepak Dua is the sixth Hindi Film Critic to receive this award. Active in film journalism since 1993, Deepak Dua is also a member of 'Film Critics Guild', an organization of selected film critics of India.
