On August 10, during the closing (Delhi film policy single-window approval) ceremony of the Celebrating India Film Festival (CIFF) held at Siri Fort, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta declared that Delhi will soon be developed into a Global Shooting Destination.

The ceremony was graced by renowned personalities including actor Annu Kapoor, Grammy Award-winning composer Ricky Kej, and acclaimed filmmaker Bharatbala. Rekha Gupta said that so far, Delhi’s talent has often had to move to Mumbai to build a career in films, even though the capital already houses prestigious institutions like the National School of Drama (NSD).
