Diwali, the festival of lights, holds a special place in the heart of producer Binaiferr Kohli. Known for her creative brilliance in Indian television, Binaiferr reflects on what Diwali means to her both personally and professionally. "Diwali means so many things. It’s a special festival for me. It’s Ram Ji’s homecoming and symbolizes the victory of good over evil. The festival of lights is so beautiful; we decorate our house with flowers, lights, and rangoli. It’s all about sweet snacks, people visiting, and everyone dressed in nice clothes," she says, emphasizing the warmth and joy the festival brings to her home.

Diwali on TV: Binaiferr Highlights Festival's Visual Appeal

Binaiferr, who has produced many successful shows with Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai and Happy Ki Ultan Paltan on air, also speaks about the significance of Diwali on-screen, noting how the portrayal of the festival enhances the visual appeal of television serials. "The Diwali sequence on screen looks beautiful. It’s a change in the serial visuals—the house and the people the audience sees every day are now dressed up, performing Pooja, and celebrating. It gives the audience a chance to celebrate the festival twice—once in their own homes and once through their favorite characters on TV."

In addition to celebrating festivals, Binaiferr believes that introducing plot twists during festive tracks heightens the entertainment value.
