Whether leading roles in "Naya Daur" or memorable supporting characters in "Hamraaz" and "Waqt," his versatility shone through.

Manmohan Krishna: A talent beyond box-office

His talent was recognized beyond the box office. He won critical acclaim for "Bees Saal Baad" and the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor in "Dhool Ka Phool," where he delivered the powerful message of secularism through the song "Tu Hindu banega na Musalman banega."

Later in his career, he showcased his directorial prowess with the hit film Noorie for Yash Raj Films, garnering a Filmfare nomination for Best Director. Sadly, he passed away in 1990, leaving behind a rich legacy and a son, Dr. Ram Chaddha, a renowned spine surgeon in Mumbai.
