After 11 successful years on television, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain: Fun On The Run is now coming as a film. What’s the excitement level like?
Shubhangi Atre: The excitement is very high. After the trailer launch, the enthusiasm has increased even more. Seeing the audience’s response makes all of us feel extremely positive.
How did the idea of turning the TV show into a film come about?
Shashank Bali: The audience has given the show so much love that we felt they deserved something bigger and special. We’ve presented Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain on a larger canvas with a cinematic treatment, but its soul remains the same.

Will the characters look different in the film?
Aasif Sheikh: No, the characters are exactly the same—Vibhuti is the same, Angoori is the same, Tiwari is the same, and Anita is the same. The only difference is that the story is told in a more entertaining way, keeping the big screen in mind. Also, some new actors like Ravi Kishan ji have joined the film.
How do you see television, OTT, and cinema in today’s time?
Vidisha Srivastava: We consider ourselves very fortunate to be part of television, OTT, and now the big screen as well. Very few people get such opportunities.

Very few TV shows have been adapted into films. What would you like to say about that?
Shashank Bali: So far, only two TV shows have been adapted into films—Khichdi and now ours. This is a matter of great pride for us.
What kind of story does the film have?
Shashank Bali: It’s a comic chase and adventure. Every character gets tangled in one situation after another. The film is full of laughter, fun, and surprises.

Who was the most mischievous on set?
Rohitashv Gour: Honestly, everyone! Since we’re all comedians, there was constant fun and laughter on the sets.
Any special message for the audience?
Aasif Sheikh: The audience has given us immense love for 11 years. I just want to say—come to the theatre with your family, watch the full film (not just half!), and go home laughing.
