Entrepreneur Gauravv Saxena, who has worked across India and East Africa and recently returned to Mumbai, says success is less about destiny and far more about decisions, discipline, and the mindset one brings to life. In a candid conversation, he opened up about belief, manifestation, luck, and the personal rituals that keep him grounded.

Actor Reflects on Uganda Years, Calls Success a Choice
Reflecting on his eight-year stint in Uganda before shifting back to India, he said his career moves were “conscious choices,” not chance. “Luck may open a door, but you still have to be standing at that door at the right time,” he said. “My decisions weren’t based on luck—they were based on evolution. Effort and timing shaped everything.”

On whether belief can alter reality, he said that focusing on his digital project Beyond 9to5 has been an exercise in manifestation—not through wishful thinking, but through alignment. “When you truly believe a path is possible, your mind automatically searches for the steps to make it real,” he said. “Belief filters your attention, and attention builds outcomes.”

For him, challenges—whether legal, personal, or professional—are shaped primarily by how one chooses to interpret them. “Mindset is everything. Whether I’m dealing with turbulence or exploring the mountains and seas of Dubai, the lens I use decides whether the moment becomes a setback or a story,” he said. “Success, in my experience, feels like a byproduct of resilience, not fortune.”

He also spoke about the power of small habits and symbolic gestures. “Carrying a bracelet, keeping a silver coin in the wallet, having a spoon of curd before something new—these aren’t superstitions,” he said. “They’re anchors. They provide continuity when life feels chaotic.”

According to him, consistency is the real magnet for what the world calls luck. “When you show up every day—for your health, career, or family—you expand the surface area for ‘lucky’ things to occur,” he said. “Good choices create good fortune.”

One personal memory stands out for him: witnessing the first Ganga Aarti of 2026 in Rishikesh. “After a period of big transitions, standing there and feeling that energy made me feel incredibly fortunate,” he said. “Not because of chance, but because I had the freedom, clarity, and presence to experience it fully.”
