According to the information received, Pankaj Udhas passed away due to prolonged illness. The death of Pankaj Udhas has been confirmed by his daughter Nayaab Udhas. Due to the demise of the ghazal singer, a wave of mourning has echoed in the entire industry.

While confirming the demise of father Pankaj Udhas on social media, Nayaab Udhas wrote, "With a very heavy heart, we are sad to inform you about the tragic demise of Padmashree Pankaj Udhas on 26 February 2024 due to prolonged illness." Pankaj Udhas' 'Chitthi Aayi Hai' ghazal gave a different identity

Let us tell you that Ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas was born on 17 May 1951 in Jetpur Navagarh, Rajkot, Gujarat. Pankaj Udhas' elder brother Manhar Udhas was a theater actor. With his help, Pankaj entered the world of music. His singing debut in Bollywood started with the 1972 film Kamna, in which he lent his voice for the first time. In the year 1980, an album of his ghazals 'Aahat' was released which was quite successful. After this, he sang many beautiful ghazals one after the other, and became a well-known ghazal singer in the industry. His sung ghazal ‘Chitthi Aayi Hai’ has become quite popular.

Pankaj Udhas was honored with the Padmashree Award.

Pankaj Udhas Award has won many awards in the world of music in his singing career. In the year 2006, he was also honored with the Padmashree Award. Apart from this, he has also been honored with the KL Sehgal Award for singing in the world of music. He has won many awards from 1985 to 2006.
