The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, dreams of establishing a thriving film industry in the state that would generate employment for lakhs of people. To realize this vision, he announced the creation of a new Film City in Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar. The responsibility of developing this studio was given to renowned filmmaker Boney Kapoor.
Yogi Adityanath Film City Plans Gain Momentum
In connection with this Film City project, Yogi Adityanath visited Mumbai multiple times, where he met with film producers, directors, and actors from Bollywood. During these meetings, he also sought suggestions from the film fraternity. His aim is to ensure that the construction of the Film City in Greater Noida progresses swiftly so that shooting can begin as soon as possible.
Although the construction of the Film City is still in its early stages, filmmaker Kailash Masoom has already taken the lead in making Yogi Adityanath’s dream come true.
Recently, Kailash Masoom, along with a crew of nearly 100 people, went to Jewar and completed a 10-day shooting schedule in the village of Dhoomhera — the same site where the Film City project is planned. Featuring emerging actor Prabuddh, social media star Shivani Kumari, and Anjali Chauhan, the film also includes well-known actors like Rajpal Yadav, Arun Bakshi, Pankaj Jha, Siddharth Bhardwaj, and Karmveer Chaudhary. Their arrival at the location created a stir in the surrounding districts, generating great excitement among locals who were thrilled to witness the shoot.
Shooting began for the film titled “Ghodi Pe Chadh Ke Aana” — officially becoming the first movie in the history of the upcoming Film City.
Salman Khan’s favorite choreographer Mudassar Khan, choreographed four songs for the film. Throughout the shoot, thousands of people gathered to watch the proceedings. Notably, Kailash Masoom hails from Dayanatpur village near Jewar, but has been living in Mumbai for the past 25 years, actively working in the film industry. He has served as a member of the Central Film Censor Board and is currently the General Secretary of Union Minister Ramdas Athawale’s film union — Republic Films & TV Association.
Masoom expressed his admiration for Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s developmental initiatives. "The Film City and Jewar Airport projects started in our region are commendable. These will bring significant economic benefits and generate numerous job opportunities,” he said. Masoom added that he has met with the Chief Minister several times to discuss the Film City project. “Even though the Film City is not fully constructed yet, I have started shooting here, and people are already showing great enthusiasm,” he remarked. He also recently honored Yogi Adityanath with the “Bharat Ratna Dr. Ambedkar Award” for creating a “Fear-Free Uttar Pradesh.”
About the film, Masoom shared that it is a situational comedy built around a serious social issue. Apart from the under-construction Film City studio, the entire film will be shot in various locations across Uttar Pradesh. Four songs have already been picturized, including an item number featuring Bigg Boss fame Arshi Khan.
The film features songs by renowned singers like Udit Narayan, Salma Agha, Sukhwinder Singh, Kalpana Patowary, Shabab Sabri, Suvarna Tiwari, Nikita Rai, and Nishant Deshwal. Music has been composed by Vicky Prasad (known for Toilet: Ek Prem Katha) and Rafiq Raja, while the lyrics have been penned by Sanjay Dhoopa Mishra, Jitendra Mirzapuri, and Kailash Masoom.
Produced under the banner of Buddha Creation of Indian Cinema, “Ghodi Pe Chadh Ke Aana” is being produced by Kailash Masoom, with co-producers Prakash Jaiswal, Krishna N. Pimple, and Irshad Ansari. Pallavi Singh Hada is the executive producer. The film is expected to release later this year.
