Global Film Festival Noida 2025 Opens with Star Power as Sandeep Marwah Announces Major Milestone

The 18th Global Film Festival Noida 2025 was inaugurated today with great fanfare. This prestigious festival has been held continuously for the past 18 years and has established a strong presence among young people.

The 18th Global Film Festival Noida 2025 was inaugurated today with great fanfare. This prestigious festival has been held continuously for the past 18 years and has established a strong presence among young people. Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios, Founder of Noida Film City, and Chancellor of AAFT University, inaugurated the festival and said, “Today, I am extremely happy to announce that Marwah Studios has secured its place among the top 10 film institutions in the world. Our students are making their mark in the film industry and bringing glory to the institution.” Sandeep Marwah also launched the poster for the Cine Kind Award on this occasion.

Many eminent personalities from the film, art, media, and political worlds were present at the inauguration ceremony, including environmentalist and former Union Minister for Women and Child Development of India, Maneka Sanjay Gandhi, who said that we should love the voiceless animals created by God. She added that films are a very powerful medium for bringing about social change. Navneet Kumar Sehgal, Chairman, Prasar Bharati, and Madhur Bhandarkar, while answering students' questions, said that to enter the film industry, it is essential to have knowledge of small details and technical aspects, along with hard work and keeping one's eyes and ears open.  Other attendees included renowned film director Sunita Ahuja; social media influencer T.P. Agarwal—Patron, FFI; Abhay Sinha, IMPPA; Firdausul Hasan, President, IMPPA; Mukesh Tyagi President, IMPPA; Tushar Amrish Goyal, President, FFI, Sakshi Mehra, film director (“The Taj Story”); and Faizan Malik of Panchayat. On this occasion, a grand exhibition of artworks created by Vimala Arts was inaugurated during the ceremony.

Founder Trustee Kanchan Mehra said that this year, an excellent collection of her artists' creations is being displayed at the Global Film Festival. The exhibited paintings are known for their creativity, cultural diversity, and emotional depth. Art critics Dilip Kumar Sharma, Prashant Malik, and Rahul were also present. Rahul said, “Exhibiting at such a large international film festival is a very significant opportunity in itself.” These artworks are receiving special appreciation from art lovers, collectors, and distinguished guests. The festival was also attended by diplomats and senior officials from various countries, including Commander K.L. Ganjoo—BJP Spokesperson; H.E. Alemtsahay Woldemariam, Consul General of Comoros; H.E. Ode Hatim Mohammed, Ambassador of Eritrea; H.E. Alberto Antonio Guani, CDA of Iraq; H.E. Carlito Nunes, Ambassador of Uruguay; H.E. Juan Angulo, Ambassador of Timor-Leste; and other senior officials from Chile, Panama, Peru, and Bangladesh. All these dignitaries stated that the exhibition is a vibrant example of the artists' imagination, exceptional vision, and cultural richness. Finally, Sandeep Marwah honored Maneka Gandhi with the Hindi Cinema Patron Award and Madhur Bhandarkar with the Hindi Cine Ratna Award and also presented awards to all the other guests.
