When it comes to being herself, actress Gulfam Khan Hussain says that there are different aspects of her personality that come out from time to time. The actress, who will be seen in Waack Girls on Amazon Prime, says that a person is constantly growing and evolving. “I would describe myself as a naturist, traveler, dreamer, artist, and someone who is unpredictable. It takes a long time for me to describe myself because you evolve one day at a time and change constantly. There are different sides of me. I can really be invisible in a crowd if I decide to stand out in it, depending on my mood. Also, no one actually sees me the same, because I'm different from different people. I can be fun with kids and wise with the elderly,” she says.

However, those close to her know her very well. “They know my basic self. I don't have a hidden personality at all... It's all out there,” she says. Talking about the need for validation, she says, “Everyone seeks some amount of validation, we want to be accepted because we are social animals. If a mother cooks a meal and asks her kids 'Acha bana hai na?' That is validation too, the only thing is it should be healthy and not selfish.” Meanwhile, the actress says that she has always tried to step out of her comfort zone. “Staying in one's comfort zone makes one stagnant, and stagnancy for any kind of creativity is toxic. Hence do something that makes you uncomfortable... face your fears... At the end You'll have arrived somewhere or at least you have tried,” she says. She adds, “I used to and still have a fear of heights, once a director of mine, Late Wasim Sabir, got to know about it and he made sure that I faced this fear, he made it a point to make me do scenes which were at a height... Though my fear remains till date he made me realize that 'facing your demons' is as important as conquering them, you have to be at it.”
