Gulfam Khan Hussain on International Dance Day: Intoxicating Passion!

For some it lifts their mood, for others, it’s a good way to work out; but when it comes to actress Gulfam Khan Hussain who will soon be seen in a web series called Waack Girls that will stream on Amazon Prime, dance is all this and more! She says that she loves to groove to the music of her choice.

Dancing with Joy: Embracing the Beat, Regardless of Language

“Dance is fun, someone once told me 'Dance like no one's looking' That's what I do. Dance uplifts my mood, it's intoxicating for me. Though I don't follow languages such as Latin or Spanish still I love the numbers and of course, time favorites are Punjabi numbers like 'Ishq tera tadpave - Sukhbir',” she says.

In fact, she wants to train formally in dance as well. “I have no formal training in dancing though I'm tempted to take one now. I might soon start learning Bharatanatyam. I am an average dancer, say 6/10, and I would love to work on my skills,” she says.

She adds, “It is substantially important to have grace. However, I feel that actors are often blessed with the best choreographers. They are nothing short of magicians and they can make people with two feet groove beautifully.”

Talking about dance, she says that it will always be relevant to any platform on showbiz. “Dance numbers were and will always be an integral part of Hindi cinema and once in a while Hollywood too throws in a beautiful musical. I love to watch dance reels too! And sometimes, I make them,” she says.
