Renowned actress and Mathura MP Hema Malini charmed the devotees including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath with her spectacular performance of Yashoda Krishna Ballet at the Panchjanya Auditorium in Dampier Nagar, Mathura. In the role of Yashoda, she presented an unprecedented theatrical dance for 40 minutes with 40 artists and enchanted the audience by beautifully portraying the love of Krishna and Yashoda.
As the Janmashtami celebrations started Chief Minister of U. P. arrived to inaugurate Krishna Janmashtami. The program was formally inaugurated by lighting the lamp. This is the 5251st birth anniversary of Lord Shri Krishna and the people of Mathura, the city of Kanha, are celebrating this day with great joy. These celebrations, especially the colorful and vibrant cultural program, reflect the spirit and enthusiasm of Janmashtami celebrations across the country. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also greeted the people of Uttar Pradesh as well as the entire country on this holy occasion. Devotees throng Mathura, Vrindavan and other temples across India on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami festival.
In Mathura, around 300 artists from across India showcased their talent ahead of Janmashtami. On this occasion, BJP MP Hema Malini's devotional dance drama staged in Mathura created such an atmosphere that people kept watching in amazement. Before the visit of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Anti Squad and UP Police had closely inspected the preparations for the festival.
Mathura District Magistrate Shailendra Kumar Singh said that all the artists were active in the entire city since morning and were promoting devotion to Lord Krishna.
The festival started with a procession. Which temple group devotees were included and a huge crowd of devotees was attracted.
This year, around 50,000 devotees are expected to visit Mathura and Vrindavan for Janmashtami.
Theater artists from Mumbai also participated in the Yashoda Krishna dance drama presented by Hema Malini in the Panchjanya Auditorium in front of the Chief Minister and other attendees.
Earlier, she had also performed the Mirabai dance drama for Prime Minister Modi during the Mirabai Mahotsav.
There are many temples in Mathura and Vrindavan. Around 5,000 homestay hotels are to be prepared to handle the flow of visitors.
Some time ago, Hema Malini once said that Lord Krishna loves "Brijvasis" and hence Lord Krishna will bless her only if she truly serves them.
Actress-turned-politician Hema Malini had said that she has been the 'Gopi' of Lord Krishna.
Hema Malini had told the media, 'I did not come into politics for name or fame or even for wealth."
Introducing herself as 'Krishna's Gopi', Hema Malini said that since Lord Krishna loves 'Brijvasis', she feels he will bless her only if she works for them wholeheartedly.
“And I am serving the people of Brij accordingly”, she said. She had also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda for providing the opportunity to work for Brijwasis from Mathura for the third time.
She had said that firstly 'Braj 84 Kos Parikrama' which is in a very bad condition, will be developed.
Hema Malini had said, "The Braj 84 Kos Parikrama will be made as comfortable, beautiful, and interesting as possible for the tourists."
She had said, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari was very kind to consider my request and has sanctioned Rs 5000 crore for the renovation of Braj 84 Kos Parikrama."
This time again Hema Malini added charm to the Janmashtami celebrations with her presence and dance.
