Actor Mimoh Chakraborty, Who is seen in Khakee-The Bengal Chapter on Netflix, recently shared how he feels about growing up in his father’s shadow. Unlike many star kids who try to build their own name separately, Mimoh proudly embraces his father’s fame. He says that he doesn’t want to move out of Mithun’s shadow; he actually finds it inspiring and motivating.

In an interview, Mimoh said, “I don’t want to step out of my father’s shadow. My father, Mithun Chakraborty, is a legend. There’s only one Mithun, just like there’s only one Amitabh Bachchan or Shah Rukh Khan. I don’t want to match him, I want to carve my own journey.”

Mimoh believes in focusing on doing good work and entertaining the audience. He added, “If I keep comparing myself to him, I’ll lose sight of my own path.”

Talking about his recent role as Himal Mazumdar in the series Khakee: The Bengal Chapter, Mimoh shared that the role was quite layered. He worked hard to understand the character’s full story, his childhood, education, and relationships which helped him perform better. “I knew I had to do justice to Himal Mazumdar, give 100%, impress Neeraj Pandey, and satisfy my directors,” he said.

Even though being a star kid can come with pressure, Mimoh never thought of quitting acting. He said, “I’ve questioned myself, but never wanted to quit. I made the choice to act, not my parents. And with that choice comes responsibility. I’ve always believed in my dreams, and that belief kept me going.”
