It was a memorable celebration of music, legacy, and excellence for the invitees attending the Shri Shankar Shambhu Memorial Awards 2025. The prestigious event was proudly hosted Blessing Entertainment and was held at Sardar Patel Sabhagriha Bhavans College, in suburban Mumbai., The sentimental Awards event brought together a galaxy of music-biz luminaries for an evening of soulful vocal and instrumental tributes by way of mesmerizing performances.
The evening paid homage to the legendary Sufi Singer's duo Shri Shankar Shambhu Ji, whose unparalleled contributions to Indian classical & Sufi music continue to inspire generations. In a moment of grandeur, the iconic super-singer-performer Padmashri Sonu Nigam was felicitated with the prestigious award, recognizing his remarkable journey and enduring impact on Indian music.
The event was graced by some of the biggest names in the industry, including, Agam Nigam, filmy-sangeet gyaani lyricist Manoj Muntashir, Padmashri Jaspinder Narula .. A special evening highlight was a spellbinding performance as a heart-felt tribute by Padmashri Ustad Ahmed Hussain & Ustad Mohammed Hussain, whose classical ghazals cast a timeless spell on the audience.
The audience was treated to a captivating variety of live performances by Ram Shankar, Rakesh Pandit, Pradeep Pandit, Raja Pandit, Heera Pandit, Deepak Pandit, Aditya Shankar,,, Prashant Sonagra, Pooja Gaitonde, Rajeev Mahavir, and of course, the super-talented charming singer Sneha Shankar ( of ongoing 'Indian Idol' show fame on Sony TV ) who is expected to emerge the ultimate winner of the title. Sonu Nigam fondly calls her the 'toofani singer' who will 'storm' the Indian music soundscape
The tribute-awards event also welcomed an esteemed gathering of special music-biz guests, including impresario Saurabh Daftary, eminent singers Ghanshyam Vaswani, and Sumeet Tappoo, also Sanjay Mahale, Dr Ashok Tandon, Lalit Shah, Vipul Shah, Rajneesh Agrawal, Neeraj Sharma, and Rajesh Sonagra, Sundari Thakur,, Yogesh ('Bright') Lakhani- and some more, all coming together to celebrate the spirit of Indian classical, Sufi and qawwali genres of vocal music.
